Meet our team and find out more about our approach
All Abilities Gippsland was founded by sisters Allese Willis and Bianca Mitchell in 2020, with the opening of Lillico House, a residential and respite care home in Warragul. Allese and Bianca grew up around people living with disability, as well as family members who worked in the sector. These early experiences shaped their approach to their work today -- people living with disability should be encouraged to engage with and make decisions around their own activities and care, to the best of their abilities. They should be treated like people with their own wants, needs, preferences, and joys.
At All Abilities Gippsland, we believe in creating a positive environment where we're open to new ideas and new approaches. Our services are client-led, and instead of relying on too much structure or a one-size-fits-all approach, we recognise that everyone has different needs, and different interests. Our service is proudly small, so that all of our clients can receive the care, attention, and engagement they need.
Meet Allese
Allese has worked in disability support services since she was 19 years old, knowing from an early age that she wanted to be in a caring profession. She has a Cert IV in in Disability Work and a Cert III in Aged Care.
For Allese, the most important part of her job is encouraging independence and decision-making capabilities in her clients. She loves the small wins, when a client will achieve a goal, make progress, or try something new. Born and raised in the country, she loves the wide open spaces of Gippsland, and spending time with friends and family.
Meet Bianca
Over the course of 13 years in the disability support sector, Bianca has worked in residential services, day services, and provided in-home support. She has a Cert IV in Disability Work and a Cert III in Aged Care.
Bianca's work with complex needs clients informs her passion for working with people who can't always speak or do things for themselves, helping them to become more engaged. She loves giving clients new sensory experiences, exploring the outdoors or interacting with food in the kitchen. Outside of work, Bianca loves camping, 4-wheeling, and traveling.
Our Team
With over 70 years combined experienced in disability support work, our growing team has a broad background in disability support, aged care, child care, respite, in-home support, and program development.
But what we value about our team goes beyond qualifications and experience. They all have passions - for arts and crafts, for cooking, gardening, nature, singing, sewing, you name it - that they bring to their work, and they use these talents and interests to connect with the people in our care, helping to unlock our clients' interests and passions.
